Shipping & Delivery

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is a simple flat rate, Australia-wide — no surprises at checkout.

Standard shipping is $25 and takes 3–5 business days. It's free on every order over $500. Express shipping is $35 and takes 1–3 business days.

These delivery times begin after your order is made. All signs are Australian-made to order, with a manufacturing time of 2–3 business days. We ship within Australia only.

Do You Ship Signs Australia-Wide?

Yes — we ship safety, road and statutory signs to every Australian state and territory, including regional areas. We deliver within Australia only and don't currently ship internationally.

Standard shipping is a flat $25 (free over $500) and takes 3–5 business days; express is $35 and takes 1–3 business days. Orders are Australian-made to order and dispatched from our Sydney facility after a 2–3 business day manufacturing time.

How Long Does Manufacturing and Delivery Take?

Your order goes through two stages: we make it, then we ship it.

Manufacturing — 2–3 business days. Every sign is Australian-made to order at our Sydney facility. For custom signs, this begins once you've approved your artwork.

Delivery, after dispatch:

Standard: 3–5 business days Express: 1–3 business days

As a guide, a standard order arrives in about 5–8 business days from when you order, and an express order in about 3–6. You'll get tracking once it's dispatched, where available. Delivery times are estimates and can vary with location and peak periods.

Can I Pick Up My Order From Your Warehouse?

Yes — you're welcome to collect your order from our warehouse instead of having it delivered, with no shipping charge.

To pick up, choose the pickup option at checkout when you place your order. Pickup has to be selected at the time of ordering — orders are always placed online first, as we don't sell over the counter.

Your signs are made to order, so allow our standard 2–3 business day manufacturing time. We'll let you know when your order is ready to collect — please wait for that confirmation before coming in.

Pickup address: Unit 21/37–47 Borec Road, Penrith NSW 2750

If you have any questions about collecting your order, call 1300 766 227 or email sales@signshine.com.au, Monday to Friday, 9am–4pm.

Orders & Payment

Are Your Signs Made to Order?

Yes — all SignShine signs are made to order at our Sydney facility. Making each sign fresh to your order keeps quality consistent and lets us offer a genuine choice of sizes, materials and finishes rather than only stocked combinations.

Manufacturing takes 2–3 business days. If you've ordered a custom sign, the same timeframe applies once your artwork is approved.

Can I Change or Cancel My Order After Placing It?

Because every sign is made to order, the sooner you contact us, the more we can do.

For standard signs, we can usually change or cancel your order as long as it hasn't yet entered manufacturing. Manufacturing starts within our 2–3 business day window, so please contact us as soon as possible if you need to make a change.

For custom signs, you can change or cancel any time before you approve your artwork. Once you've approved the artwork, manufacturing begins and the order can no longer be changed or cancelled, as it's being made specifically for you.

To change or cancel, contact us straight away with your order number: email sales@signshine.com.au or call 1300 766 227, Monday to Friday, 9am–4pm. We'll always do our best to help. This doesn't affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law if a sign is faulty, damaged or incorrect.

What Payment Methods Do You Accept?

We accept all major payment methods through our secure checkout. That includes Visa, Mastercard and American Express, as well as Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay for faster checkout.

All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST (10%) where applicable. A GST tax invoice is emailed to you automatically after checkout.

Your payment details are processed securely and are never stored by us. If you have any trouble at checkout, email sales@signshine.com.au or call 1300 766 227, Monday to Friday, 9am–4pm.

Are Your Prices GST Inclusive?

Yes — all prices shown include GST (10%) where applicable, so the price you see is the price you pay before shipping is added.

A GST tax invoice is emailed automatically after checkout, showing the GST component along with your order number, items and total — ready for your records or expense claims.

Do I Receive an Invoice With My Order?

Yes — every order includes a GST tax invoice, automatically emailed after checkout. It shows your order number, items, GST and total, ready for your records or expense claims. All prices include GST (10%) where applicable.

If your invoice hasn't arrived, check your spam or junk folder first. Still can't find it? Email sales@signshine.com.au and we'll resend it.

I Haven't Received My Invoice — What Should I Do?

Your GST tax invoice is emailed automatically as soon as your order is placed, so it usually arrives within a few minutes of checkout.

If you can't see it, check your spam or junk folder first, and search your inbox for "SignShine" — automated emails sometimes get filtered. Also double-check the email address you used at checkout was correct.

If it still hasn't turned up, just email sales@signshine.com.au and ask us to resend it — that's the quickest way. Include your order number if you have it, and we'll send your tax invoice straight back to you. You can also call us on 1300 766 227, Monday to Friday, 9am–4pm.

Can I Buy In Person or Walk In?

SignShine is an online store, so we don't have a walk-in shop or showroom and can't take in-person sales over the counter. All orders are placed through our website.

You can, however, collect your order from our warehouse instead of having it delivered — as long as you choose the pickup option when you order. See our warehouse pickup page for how that works. [LINK — links to /pages/faq-warehouse-pickup]

If you'd like help choosing the right sign before you order, our team is happy to talk it through. Call 1300 766 227 or email sales@signshine.com.au, Monday to Friday, 9am–4pm.

Do You Offer Bulk or Trade Discounts?

Yes — if you're ordering the same sign in volume, our pricing drops automatically as your quantity goes up.

The discount tiers, applied per item, are: 5% off at 25 or more, 10% off at 50 or more, and 15% off at 150 or more. The discount applies to the same item ordered in those quantities.

This works well for builders, contractors and councils ordering for fit-outs, multi-site rollouts or ongoing project work. Paired with free standard shipping on orders over $500, it keeps volume orders straightforward and cost-effective.

For larger or recurring orders, or to talk through a project, call 1300 766 227 or email sales@signshine.com.au.

Returns & Refunds

What Is Your Returns Policy?

Your Australian Consumer Law rights always apply: products that are faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described are entitled to a remedy, and that can't be overridden.

For standard (stock) signs, we accept change-of-mind returns within 30 days on unused, resalable items. Depending on the reason, you may receive store credit or a refund of the product price to your account. Only the product price is refunded — shipping is never refunded, and return postage for a change-of-mind return is the customer's responsibility.

For custom signs, change-of-mind refunds aren't available, because each is made specifically for you. You're still fully covered if the item is faulty or the error is ours.

Can I Return a Custom Sign?

Custom and made-to-order signs are produced specifically for you, so we don't offer change-of-mind refunds on custom orders. You approve your artwork before manufacturing begins, which is there to make sure the sign is exactly what you want.

Your Australian Consumer Law rights still apply in full: if a custom sign arrives faulty, incorrect, or the error is ours, you're covered and we'll make it right with a repair, replacement or refund.

What If My Order Arrives Damaged?

If your order arrives damaged, we'll make it right. Under the Australian Consumer Law, products that arrive faulty, damaged or incorrect are entitled to a remedy — and that applies to every order, including custom signs.

Please get in touch as soon as you can after your order arrives. Email sales@signshine.com.au with your order number and a photo of the damage if possible, or call 1300 766 227, Monday to Friday, 9am–4pm. A photo helps us sort it out quickly.

Once we've confirmed the issue, we'll arrange the appropriate remedy — a repair, replacement or refund. This applies regardless of whether the sign is from our standard range or made to order.

Products & Materials

What Materials Are My Signs Available In?

SignShine signs come in four materials, so you can match the sign to where and how long it needs to last. The options available appear on each product page.

Aluminium metal is durable and long-lasting, ideal for permanent indoor or outdoor signage. ACP (Aluminium Composite Panel) is a rigid, premium panel that's lightweight yet strong, well suited to long-term outdoor use. Vinyl Sticker is a self-adhesive option for applying to smooth, flat surfaces such as doors, walls and equipment. Corflute is a lightweight, cost-effective board that's great for temporary, short-term or site signage.

Many signs are also available in Reflective Class 1 for better visibility at night and in low light, which works best on light-coloured backgrounds.

Not sure which material suits your job? Call 1300 766 227 or email sales@signshine.com.au and we'll help you choose.

Can Signs Be Used Outdoors?

Yes — SignShine signs are suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Made from Aluminium metal, ACP, Vinyl Sticker and Corflute, they're built to handle Australian conditions.

For permanent outdoor installations — including road, traffic and statutory signage — Aluminium metal and ACP are the most durable, and reflective finishes are available where visibility matters. Vinyl Sticker and Corflute suit shorter-term or indoor use.

Do You Sell Reflective Signs?

Yes — many of our safety and road signs are available in Reflective Class 1 for better visibility at night and in low light. Reflective material bounces light back toward its source, so signs stand out under headlights or a torch.

The reflective option appears on the product page where it's available, and it works best on light-coloured sign backgrounds. It's particularly useful for outdoor fire equipment, road and traffic, and hazard and emergency signage.

Do You Make Custom Signs?

Yes — alongside our standard safety, road and statutory range, we can make custom signs with your own text, logo, size or colours.

Once you place a custom order, our in-house design team prepares the artwork (or works from artwork you supply) and sends it to you for approval before anything is manufactured. Custom signs are then made within the same 2–3 business day manufacturing time as our standard range, once artwork is approved.

Because custom signs are made specifically for you, change-of-mind refunds aren't available on custom orders — but you're fully covered if a sign is faulty or the error is ours.

Compliance & Standards

Are Your Signs Compliant With Australian Standards?

Our standard safety, road and statutory signs are made to the relevant Australian Standards where one applies — such as AS 1319 for safety signs and AS 1742 for road and traffic signs. The specific standard a sign is made to is noted on its product page, and compliant options are available where a standard applies.

It's worth knowing that a sign being made to a standard is only one part of a compliant site. Choosing the correct sign, and getting its size, mounting height and placement right for your situation — along with meeting the applicable NCC, WHS and state requirements — remains the responsibility of the building owner, occupier or PCBU. This is general information, not legal advice.

Statutory vs General Safety Signs

Statutory signs are required in many buildings and workplaces under the National Construction Code (NCC) and Australian Standards such as AS 1319 — for example, "Fire Safety Door — Do Not Obstruct." They support building compliance and emergency safety.

General safety signs cover wider workplace messaging — warnings, prohibitions, mandatory PPE, notices and site information.

Both are made to the relevant Australian Standards where one applies, but choosing the right sign, size and placement for your site remains the responsibility of the building owner or occupier. This is general information, not legal advice.
